Little Good Harbour Barbados

Luxury Boutique Hotel Barbados

Little Good Harbour Hotel is situated away from the bustle of the West coast, close to a quiet fishing village nestles this small boutique hotel. It offers a refreshingly chic and peaceful escape in which to unwind and rejuvenate. This luxury boutique hotel in Barbados, an original 17th century fort, has been tastefully restored to create the restaurant and bar as well as two of the hotel’s luxury suites creating a perfect backdrop for romance, weddings and honeymoons.

There is a choice of 21 luxurious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites. Light, cool interiors fuse Balinese and Caribbean décor in neutral shades creating a graceful yet distinctly tropical ambience. All suites have a separate living room with French doors leading out to a terrace or balcony with balmy tropical vistas and no motorised water sports adding to the tranquillity. Yet all such activities can be easily arranged locally. For the adventurous hire a jeep and explore the rugged east coast and Bridgetown the capital or the shopping amenities of Speightstown only a short drive away. Or book lunch at sister hotel The Atlantis situated on the dramatic East Coast.

But with two freshwater swimming pools, beach access, beach gazebos, complimentary use of kayaks and snorkelling equipment, and not forgetting The Little Spa for some indulgent pampering you may never want to leave this small luxury hotel. There’s also the fabulous water’s edge restaurant The Fish Pot, which has become increasingly popular with both locals and hotel guests. Little Good Harbour is a romantic boutique hotel that offers a delightfully calm port amidst the storm of living.

Amentities & Facilities

DINING

Dining at the Fish Pot Restaurant at Little Good Harbour is a reason in itself to visit Barbados. This unusual restaurant is part of a converted fort that sits directly on the beach at Sherman’s and the open terrace dining area looks out to the ocean beyond.

For starters, the enticing menu includes baby clams in Creole sauce and lobster ravioli with Jim Beam butter sauce. Six Men’s fish market is a mere 10 minute walk away and the entree menu offers tempting dishes from the sea, such as oven-roasted sea bass, grilled swordfish, jumbo shrimp, pan-fried lobster and scallops served on buttered fettuccine. The Fish Pot restaurant offers a truly gourmet dining experience in delightful surroundings.

Set in the small eighteenth-century fort at the water’s edge, the restaurant is airy and informal. The chef takes a purist’s approach to cooking, and shuns stuffing, rolling, or otherwise playing with the food. He uses the freshest of ingredients (flying them in if necessary) and pumps up the flavour with local seasonings. The result includes a pan-fried mahi-mahi so delicately flavoured that it’s sublime, and a lamb shank worthy of Henry VIII, with a dark, bold, and fragrant bite. Also noteworthy are the grilled lobster medallions and hash browns, drizzled with a mild spinach pesto, and gazpacho.
