South Point Hotel

South Point  Hotel is a modern, chic luxury 5 star resort in Antigua. Or as they like to call it, “Urban Chic on the Beach“. South Point enjoys a very unique distinction among other Antigua hotels; modern design and an Italian-inspired philosophy of ‘la dolce vita’ were the driving forces behind this stylishly-sexy newcomer to the Antigua hotels roster.

Granted, one that happens to enjoy a pristine beachfront setting, freshwater pool, and private jetty. Due in large part to its modern design, enviable location, and popular waterfront bar and restaurant, South Point also stands out as the best hotel for girlfriend getaways, solo travelers, and couples seeking a more lively alternative to the usual “Antigua honeymoon hotel”.

The numerous restaurants, bars and cafes between the marina and Nelson’s Dockyard offer an added element of South Point being the ‘just right’ of Antigua hotels as at it puts our guests within reach of Antigua’s most popular nightlife and entertainment spots, but far enough way so those seeking a respite can unwind in peace.

With the stylish setting, condo-style suite configurations, and jetset appeal, South Point stands in striking contrast to other Antigua hotels, most of which are family friendly resorts or intimate hotels that cater to the romance traveler.

Amentities & Facilities

ON THE BEACH

Another benefit of staying at South Point is that you are not restricted to just one of Antigua’s beautiful beaches.

Our own small, private beach is a fine option for those who prefer to stay close to home, but for those seeking one of the quintessential Antigua beaches, Pigeon Beach – once named one of the sexiest beaches in the world – is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. It is also easily accessibly by paddle board or kayak. Galleon Beach, though 5-minutes away by car, is another must visit.

DINING

THE LOUNGE
Located within South Point’s Reception area and accented by original artwork from a renowned photographer, the lounge is the place to be as the sun sets and the night lights up. Gather with friends or fellow traveler to recount the day’s activities (or lack thereof) or make plans for the next. Sample our dangerously good cocktails and light bites before heading downstairs for dinner or out on the town. Or simply sit back, and take it all in.

THE RESTAURANT
Inspired by Asian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, South Point’s restaurant offers an eclectic mix of authentic flavours with one thing in common: fresh, high quality ingredients. The menu features a variety of simple, yet skilfully prepared dishes that allow diners to indulge and savour according to taste. In keeping with its cosmopolitan character, the South Point dining experience is the perfect combination of international taste and local flavour. Farm to table ingredients and locally-caught seafood are daily menu staples, accompanied by an addictive cocktail menu and carefully curated wine list.

Though the atmosphere may suggest fine-dining and dress codes, South Point is the definition of island chic – understated, easy-going, and effortlessly appealing. Both the lounge and restaurant welcome non-hotel guests to enjoy its casual, cafe-style vibes of anything goes and everyone’s welcome. As a testament to this the restaurant deck, which is suspended over water and easily accessible to dinghies, is paddle board friendly, so tie on and grab a bite.

WEDDINGS

South Point offers several beautiful settings for your destination wedding in Antigua. Intimate ceremonies can be performed on our small, private beach or for larger parties, both Pigeon beach and Galleon beach are within 5 minutes drive. Couples may also opt for a beach alternative destination wedding, and say I do from the historic Shirley Heights lookout – an ideal option for a sunset wedding.

Afterwards, celebrate with cocktails at The Lounge and dinner at our waterfront restaurant or consider a poolside reception and private beach dinner. Either option will be carefully coordinated by our team, with bespoke decor and services designed around you.

There is no residency requirement for getting married in Antigua, however we do recommend that you allow time to visit the various government offices and meet with any local wedding planners or vendors.
